California

As hard as it was, I left Bryson to go visit Sara and her boys in California. I really missed Bryson and Nate but was so glad to be able to spend time with friends. Here are some new pictures of the boys! They are adorable and Sara and Mike certainly have their hands full. We look forward to seeing them this summer and finally getting the little guys all together! (Zach's on the left and Derek's on the right)

Easter Day

Bryson enjoyed his first Easter and while he wasn't sure what was with the presents in a basket, he loved it all the same. Later in the evening he came down with the flu. We were thankful nothing happened until we got home but felt so bad for him none the less. It's been a slow recovery but he's finally back to 100%!

HOPPY Easter!

This little rabbit got ahold of his 'pre-cooked' meal. Ears were found and a photoshoot ensued! Boy did he try hard to eat that carrot! Bryson, Nathan and I wish you all a joyous Easter!

The 'Potty' Times

Yes, you read correctly, it says potty! About a month ago, in celebration of Bryson's 6 month birthday, we bought him a potty chair. A little early, yes, but we figured there was no harm in sitting him on it every now and then to get use to it. Well..... boy genius decided that he didn't need to be 'trained' he's got this potty thing all figured out. After talking and kicking his legs for a few minutes....Voila! Potty in the potty chair. Bryson was VERY proud of himslef and made me take a picture to prove it to his daddy! I will spare you the gory details but show a picture of Bryce livin' it up on his throne!!

Bob the builder... Can we fix it? Yes we can!

Bryson and Nate played Bob the Builder this weekend and finally built Bryce's ride-on toy. It was perfect timing, now that Bryce is wanting to start moving. Look out world, here he comes!

Big Boy Bryson!

It's official, Bryson is a big boy.... okay, don't worry I'm not jumping the gun but it sure is a wake up call when you have to lower the crib because you realize it's only a matter of days before your son figures out how to get out. Bryce wasn't so sure about the change and it's a lot harder to "sneak" out of the room now but at least we know there won't be a 'thump -wahhhh' in our near future!
And who can resist a few good tub pictures. It's getting harder and harder to catch the little stinker when he's still so I apologize for the bluriness! The last picture is Bryson's decision to teach himself how to swim. Nate called me into the bathroom to show me the position he had gotten himself into. Thankfully Nate grabbed him before he got a faceful of water! i guess we better start those swim lessons soon!!

What the.....

Yes, that is my son... sitting in the sink, chewing on the faucet. Why you may ask? Well after the first diaper blowout we've had in months, I decided the wipes weren't cutting it and Bryce needed a rinse. Well he wasn't too happy about this and I was on my own so the sink seemed like the fastest and easiest option. Bryson, however, wasn't content until I allowed him to chew on the faucet! And his big thank you once I had him cleaned and dried off.... he peed, all over the bathroom! Ah... the joy of boys!

Bryson the Bully!

Bryson has a friend named Luca! Luca is 3 weeks younger than Bryce. Luca's mom Amy and I worked together last year at Minooka Elementary. We originally had the same due date, but Bryce was early and Luca came a bit later than expected! The boys first met in October... it was fun to see how the "compared" in size. In October, neither little guy was very interested in the other but Amy and I enjoyed the time to catch up.
This time the boys were definetly more interested in each other and seemed to enjoy their time together. Bryson blew lots of kisses Luca's way, but at times was far more interested in his shoes. (?!?!?) Bryson also decided that he could be more rough with Luca than he is with Maya but Luca thankfully could hold his own. At least we managed one cute photo op. that day! Thanks for visiting Amy and Luca!! Come back soon!!

Happy 7 Months!

Bryson is now 7 months old! We can't believe how quickly time passes in months instead of years! No real updates on how he's developing... he love blowing kisses and trying to mimic noises that Nate makes. He hates being on his tummy but continuously tries to get into the crawling position. He likes to stand holding on to things and is strong enough to pull himself up from a sitting to standing position. He is still not a fan of people wearing glasses but now that I have to wear mine more often, he is getting better. He is VERY curious and always stares at people.... until they acknowledge him, then he buries his head in my shoulder to hide!
