Oh Boy!

Here's the latest trick.... now Bryson can pull up on furniture, all furniture, regardless of whether or not it moves, or is too high, or dangerous! And as of this evening, he's gotten very brave and enjoys letting go of said furniture and throwing himself with one step and a lunge to the next closest object (usually me)! I can't even begin to imagine the bumps and bruises that we'll have this week!

9 Months Old Already!! (Post by Bryson)

Happy 3/4 Birthday to me! Happy 3/4 Birthday to me! Happy 3/4 Birthday to me-e! Happy 3/4 Birthday to meeee! Hi everyone! I'm 9 months old today! I dress like a big boy and like to stand up and hold on to the furniture!! Did you buy me a present? Did you make me a cake?

Is my present up here? Is there cake up here? Mom lets me eat pancakes! Do you have any of those?
Are you kidding me? No cake? No presents? And no pancakes? Oh no!
Hey! Did you see my new shoes! They taste yummy!

(I imagine that if we could just know what he was thinking it would be something along these lines!)

This is the way we brush our teeth...

So more and more I find myself trying to find ways to entertain my little monster. After figuring out that getting ready in the morning was a lot easier with Bryson sitting on the counter next to me, I started to notice how intently he stared when I brushed my teeth! Being the first grade teacher that I am and having recently gone through Dental Health Month with my students, I had a stash of children's tooth brushes on hand and gave one to Bryce! Now, similar to the potty chair, our daily routine is not complete without a little teeth brushing... okay, you caught me.... he doesn't have teeth, STILL, but he likes to pretend... so do I!

Sometimes I swear if Bryson could live in the tub, he would! More tub pictures, just for fun!

A Visit from Maya

Maya, Marlene and Tony joined us for dinner on Friday. It was fun hanging out and watching Maya eat carrots for the first time! Remember to try, try again Miss Maya!! It doesn't look like they're having fun, but Bryce and Maya really do like seeing each other!!

First Trip to the Zoo!

On Saturday we took Bryson for his first visit to the zoo. We met up with Auntie Lynda and got to see lots of animals. Bryce wasn't so sure what to make of the zoo at first but seemed to enjoy looking at the animals.... and Auntie Lynda! The giraffes and fish tanks were by far his favorite. We bought him a little giraffe to remember his visit.

After watching the baboons, then heading into the monkey house, Bryson enjoyed some monkeying around of his own!

As you can see, Bryson was all tuckered out and settled in for his afternoon nap about 3/4 of the way through the zoo. He certainly didn't miss much since the animals seemed to have the same idea!
